Achievements :
The major achievement and credit to the Department of Anaesthesiology
is in carrying out Anaesthesia for the craniopagus twins in 1991 and
thoracopagus twins in 1992 from the paediatric surgery department.
The following Professors worked as Heads of Department.
Dr.M. Venkata Rao
Dr.S. Sankara Rao
Dr.K.V. prasada Rao
Dr.C.V. Subba Rao
Dr. Dhana Raj.
Dr. James Paul.
Dr. Jaranath Baba
Dr. T.V Subba Rao
Dr. Hameedbin Mohd, Dr.P.Ch, Pakira Reddy, were the Additional

We are proud, in carrying out Anaesthetic management for separation of
craniopagus twins in the year 1991 and in 1992 Anaesthetic Management for
separation of Thoracopagus twins.
In addition to other critical and problematic cases in Cardiothoracic,
Neuro, and Plastic surgical anaesthesiology, this is a splendid achievement
which may come once in life time.
Before the invention of Anesthesia there was no perfect process of
preventing pain during surgery. Surgeons gave large amounts of alcohol to
patients who underwent surgery. Patients were held by several people.
Later surgeon used to proceed to surgery.
