has surprisingly(and unenviably)small workforce,yet the amount
of work they generate is tremandous and the results

PRELIMINARY DETAILS OF THE DEPARTMENT
1. Cardiology Ward Comprises of 40 beds.
08 beds in ICCU
20 Male side
12 Female side
All the ICCU beds are always full
2. 80% of the patient population getting admitted belong to very low
socio-economic status. On average 3 to 4 Heart-attack cases, who
are very poor get admitted.
3. For the poor patients, who cannot afford treatment, the "GUNTUR HEART
ASSOCIATION" which has Corpus funds will be supplying medicines,
through the Interest accrued with the Corpus funds. In addition,
several other electronic equipments, repairs etc., will be carried
out routinely.
4. All Accounts are regularly maintained. Auditing is carried out.
5. Income Tax clearance certificate obtained.
6. Several articles like Air Conditioners, Fans, ECG Machines, wheel hands
stretchers, chairs etc., have been obtained through donations.
7. There is Income-Tax exemption U/S 80G.
8. Through The Guntur Heart Association, rural camps for the poor cardiac
patients are being conducted regularly.
9. There is facility of Colour Doppler Echo Cardiography, Computerised
and
central Monitoring Unit with 08 bedded single channel Monitors &
Computerised arrythmia package, this has been obtained through MP funds.
10. Telugu book in preventive aspects of Heart-attacks regularly supplied
for all patients.
