Government Fever Hospital

The Government Fever Hospital, Guntur Was established in the yer 195, functioning as a part of the Government General Hospital, Guntur located in its campus as a separate wing with 40 beds. In the year 1971 it was bifurcated from the Government General Hospital, Guntur and has been functioning as independent institution with separate administration set up located in present place (on Amaravathi road, Guntur about 5 Km. Away from the Guntur Medical College and Govt. General Hospital) in an area of 8.6 acres.

In the year 1987 after establishment of University of Health Sciences, A.P. , the department of Tuberculosis and Chest diseases was shifted from Mangalagiri to Govt. Fever Hospital, Guntur. The institution is upgraded to 100 beded Hospital in the year 993. Successive Superintendents and other staff members developed the institution to this present state since its inception with their untiring efforts and sincere services.

            This hospital serves the patients with all kinds of Fevers including infectious diseases and reparatory diseases round the clock with utmost care.

            Further this institution is serving as a teaching institution for undergraduates and post graduates forming part of Guntur Medical College, Guntur Under the control of its Principal.

            This institution has the facilities of X-Ray plant and basic laboratory, besides utilitsing the services of G.G.H. & G.M.C. For futher investigvations and management as and when required.
