MESSAGE

                        I am happy to know that the Guntur Medical College, Guntur, is celebrating Fifty years of its existence. I send my greeings and good wishes to you and all you colleagues on this happy occasion.

                        Guntur Medical College (GMC) is known for its excellent academic credntials and IO understand that former students of this College have done our country proud by their work ihn India and abroad, true to the GMC’s mootto of “Excellence at home and recognition abroad”.

                        In the post-Golden Jubilee period, I hope that the GMC will set its sights higher and strengthen an area which appears to be rather weak at present i.e. establishing a research  culture and atmosphere in the college. The need to establish a research nucleus in Medical Colleges cannot be overemphsized and I am quite sure with its excellent track record, responsive leadership and dedicated efforts, the GMC can attain greater heights in Medical Education as well as research, in the coming years.

            Once again, my heartly congratulations.
